After the success of the Live-In Week, the Headmaster and the Board have agreed that the Live-Ins should be extended throughout the summer. The post of responsibility was assigned to Mr Gregory Sammut, who was the master mind behind the introduction of the Live-Ins at St Edward’s in 2002. Since then, the Live-Ins gained great popularity and became one of the most favourite activities of the Edwardians from the Junior School up to the Senior School.
The Summer Live-In Week is a great opportunity for our students and their friends to meet up during the summer holidays and share a week of fun and dynamic activities. Such activities will include:
-
Sailing-boat trip
-
Water Sports
-
Water Slides
-
Bumping Cars
-
BBQs
-
Ready Steady Cook
-
Camping
Besides the use of the Live-In House, participants will also make use of the school tents whilst spending a night camping out.
The turnout for this summer was as good as expected. The applications flooded in especially in the Junior School, where 90% of the boys in year 5 will be participating. The winter Live-Ins and all the boys who participated served as great ambassadors, as well as the parents who visited their son during the respective Live-In week. It is known as a fact that all these activities give an opportunity to our students to develop their leadership and personal skills, giving them a sense of belonging and motivation in a safe and enjoyable environment.
